Be Daring's 12-Month Warranty

Be Daring NZ offers an exclusive 12-Month Warranty on all sex toys (excluding male stimulators and love dolls) with a retail price of $99 or more. If your item develops a manufacturing defect within 12 months of purchase, you can choose between a replacement or a refund. This warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, or damage unrelated to manufacturing.

If you opt for a replacement, we will dispatch the new item within two business days of receiving the faulty product at our warehouse. Please allow standard delivery time as outlined in our “When Will I Receive My Order?” section.

For purchases made using Rewards Points, any refunded amount will be credited back to your member account, with any remaining balance refunded to your original payment method.

At Be Daring, we take pride in offering one of the most comprehensive warranties in the adult retail industry. Our 12-Month and 30-Day Warranties are designed to provide peace of mind and are offered in addition to your rights under New Zealand Consumer Law.

Hismith Fucking Machines 

Except in circumstances of immediate or exceptional fault, Hismith Fucking Machines will be repaired. Any faulty components on the Fucking Machines will be replaced with a new component.  

24-Month Warranty 

Be Daring offers VIP Loyalty Rewards Members a 24month warranty on ‘rechargeable toys’ from date of purchase. This warranty is only valid if the customer was a member at the time of purchase.  

Proof of Purchase 

A ‘proof of purchase’ (receipt) is required as evidence of purchase date and location. VIP Rewards Members have access to their receipts upon request.  

Your Rights Under NZ Law

Under New Zealand Consumer Law, you are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund if the product experiences a major failure.
  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
  • A repair or replacement if the product fails to meet acceptable quality standards and the failure does not amount to a major defect.

Be Daring's 30-Day Warranty

For items not covered under our 12-Month Warranty, Be Daring offers a 30-Day Warranty on all other products. If a product is deemed faulty within 30 days of receipt, you may choose to receive a replacement or a full refund.

If a garment doesn’t fit or meet your expectations, you may return it within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. The garment must be in as new condition and returned with original packaging.

Be Daring NZ reserves the right to repair items under certain circumstances, e.g. a higher priced item, returned after purchase with user wear and tear and/or items with a minor repairable fault.

Returns & Exchanges FAQ

Can I Exchange or Return Items That Are Not Faulty?

Please choose carefully before purchasing. Due to health and hygiene reasons, Be Daring does not exchange items for incorrect choice (with the exception of lingerie).

To ensure every purchase is brand new and untouched, we never restock returned personal items, even if they are in original packaging.

Can I Return or Exchange Faulty Items?

At Be Daring, quality control is as important to us as it is to you. Our experienced buying team, with decades of expertise, carefully selects our product range from over 60 suppliers across New Zealand, Australia, Asia, Europe, and the USA.

Return Post Refunded

If the item is deemed faulty due to a manufacturing defect, we’ll also refund your reasonable return shipping fee, so you won’t incur any return costs.

As per our warranty policies above, in circumstances where the item returned is faulty, return delivery to you is free.

Before Returning Your Adult Toy

Before returning a faulty adult toy, please check the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Ensure you are using the correct batteries (AA and AAA can look similar).
  • Check battery orientation—some toys require all batteries to face the same direction.
  • Ensure batteries are fully charged.
  • Confirm battery connections are dry and have not been exposed to moisture.
  • Check if the lid is firmly closed. Some lids require a “click” to lock in place.
  • Review the toy’s instructions. Some toys (e.g., Swan) have a locking sequence where two buttons must be held down to unlock.

If all these measures fail and the item is still within warranty, it may be returned for replacement or refund.
