BeDaring's 12-Month Warranty
Be Daring NZ offers an exclusive 12-Month Warranty on all sex toys (excluding male stimulators and love dolls) with a retail price of $99 or more. If your item experiences a manufacturing defect and is deemed faulty within 12 months of purchase, we will replace the product or provide a refund, based on your preference.
If you choose a replacement of your product, we will dispatch the new item within two business days of receiving the faulty product at our warehouse. Please allow regular delivery time as outlined in our “When Will I Receive My Order?” section. This warranty is unique to Be Daring, and we’re proud to offer one of the most generous guarantees in the adult retail industry.
The benefits of our 12-Month and 30-Day Warranties are provided in addition to your rights under New Zealand Consumer Law. Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under this law. You’re entitled to a replacement or refund in the case of a major failure, along with compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

For items not covered under our 12-Month Warranty, Be Daring offers a 30-Day Warranty on all other products. If a product is deemed faulty within 30 days of receipt, you may choose to receive a replacement or a full refund.
30-Day Be Daring Lingerie 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
Be Daring NZ offers a 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee on all of sexy lingerie. We want you to love every item you purchase, and we're here to make sure you’re completely satisfied. If you’re not completely satisfied with a garment for any reason for example if it doesn’t fit or meet your expectations you may return it within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. The garment returned must be in “as new” condition and returned with original packaging.
Can I Exchange or Return Items that are not faulty?
Please choose your items carefully before purchasing. Due to health and hygiene reasons, Be Daring does not exchange items for incorrect choice (with the exception of lingerie). To ensure that every purchase is brand new and untouched We would never restock returned personal items, even if they are in original packaging, , and you would not want to purchase someone else's return.
Can I Return or Exchange Faulty Items?
At Be Daring, Quality control is as important to us as it is to you. Our experienced buying team, with decades of expertise carefully selects the Be Daring range from over 60 suppliers across New Zealand, Australia, Asia, Europe, and the USA. Many products are personally tested by our team, ensuring that any underperforming items are quickly removed from our selection.
Every product undergoes rigorous quality checks, including visual inspections, and every battery-operated toy is tested with batteries before dispatch. While we strive for the highest standards, some items may occasionally experience issues. If you encounter a fault, rest assured that all our products are backed by our unique warranties.
Return Post Refunded
If the item is deemed faulty due to a manufacturing defect, we’ll also refund your reasonable return shipping fee, so you won’t incur any return costs. As per our warranty policies above in circumstances where the item returned is faulty, return delivery to you is free.
Important Information About Returns
Before Returning Your Adult Toy
Before returning your faulty adult toy we recommend that you check the following list of simple checks. For example around 40% of toys returned simply have flat batteries, the batteries are in the wrong way or lids have not been correctly closed.
Some Simple Tests
- Ensure that you are using the correct batteries. AA and AAA batteries do look similar.
- Ensure that the batteries are inserted the correct way. The majority of toys have + / - indicators. In some toys all batteries are inserted with the terminals facing the same way e.g. ++, while other toys have the batteries in alternate directions e.g. + -.
- Ensure that your batteries are charged. If you do not have a battery tester try brand new batteries.
- Ensure that your battery connections are dry and have not been exposed to moisture.
- Ensure that the lid is closed firmly. Some lids shut with a “click” to lock them in place.
- Read the toys instructions if supplied. Some new toys (e.g. Swan) come with a locking sequence such that 2 buttons must be held down to unlock before power will come on.
If all these measures fail and the item is still within its warranty terms it may be returned for replacement or refund.
